Flexible approaches to eCOA administration in clinical trials: The site perspective

Last updated: September 18, 2024

To address the need to embed flexibility in eCOA use, the “Support Flexible Approaches to PRO Data Collection” project was launched by the Critical Path Institute to explore several areas, amongst them the impact of eCOA systems on clinical trial sites and clinical research associate (CRAs), which is the focus of this article. This project solicited site staff and CRA perspectives on the challenges with eCOA and collected suggestions for simplifying and increasing flexibility, via an anonymously completed survey.

This article, a collaborative effort by the C-Path eCOA Consortium and PRO Consortium, features Estelle Haenel as the primary author. It provides interesting findings and trends, and proposes key recommendations to enhance flexibility with eCOA systems use.
