Kayentis introduces its Patient Education Video Library to strengthen clinical trial engagement and compliance

Last updated: July 24, 2025

Co-created with patient advocates and integrated into the Kayentis electronic Clinical Outcome Assessment (eCOA) application, patient educational videos enrich Kayentis’ support for pharma and biotech companies by helping engage patients throughout their clinical trial journey.

This enhanced offer will help Kayentis address a significant challenge in clinical development, namely capturing the patient voice efficiently in clinical trials, thereby further improving overall trial efficiency.

Grenoble, France – July 24, 2025 Kayentis, a global provider of electronic Clinical Outcome Assessment (eCOA) and Decentralized Clinical Trial (DCT) solutions, today announces the launch of its Patient Education Video Library, a novel initiative designed to enhance the engagement of patients and caregivers throughout the clinical trial life cycle.

Integrated directly into the Kayentis eCOA application, Clin’form, this new resource features a growing collection of short, targeted videos addressing key concerns and questions frequently expressed by clinical trial participants.

The first topics include:

  • Understanding the value of clinical trials: This video contextualizes the societal and scientific importance of clinical research, emphasizing the individual’s contribution to medical progress and future patient care.
  • The role of caregivers in clinical research: This material recognizes the critical yet often overlooked support that caregivers provide, from ensuring protocol adherence to emotional encouragement, and highlights their integral role in the success of a clinical trial.
  • Data privacy and patient trust: This video demystifies how patient data are collected, protected, and ethically managed, reinforcing transparency and compliance with global regulatory standards while reassuring trial participants about this critical aspect of their engagement.

What distinguishes this initiative is its
co-development with patients and caregivers. Kayentis collaborated closely with patient advocates, who shared their real-life concerns, questions, and emotional experiences. This participatory approach ensured that the materials are not only scientifically accurate but also empathetic, culturally sensitive, and aligned with real-world patient experiences.

Furthermore, the videos are available in the patient’s native language, ensuring both regulatory compliance and equitable access to information across diverse populations. By embedding the content within the eCOA app, technical barriers are eliminated and the timely delivery of relevant information at key moments in the patient’s journey is ensured.

This initiative delivers value to multiple stakeholders:

  • For patients and caregivers: these videos improve understanding, reduce anxiety, and increase confidence in clinical trial participation.
  • For clinical sites: they streamline communication, reduce the burden on site staff, and improve protocol adherence.
  • For sponsors: including these videos in the eCOA app enhances patient retention, improves data quality, and is a demonstrable commitment to patient-centricity, without any additional setup time or technical barriers.

“This library is more than just a set of pedagogic videos, it’s a bridge between patients and the clinical research ecosystem,” said Estelle Haenel, Chief Medical Officer at Kayentis. “By listening to patients and speaking their language, both literally and emotionally, we are making trials more human and more effective. This library is a natural extension of our mission to improve the patient experience and foster trust and transparency in clinical research.”

The first three videos will be available for trial integration from September 2025, with additional topics under development in collaboration with patient advocacy groups.

This initiative reflects Kayentis’ ongoing commitment to improving patient experience and engagement throughout a clinical trial. This library completes the solutions already developed by Kayentis to support patients through their trial journey, including user guides, training app, televisit solution, and features that enable patient to adapt the solution to their lifestyle, e.g. reminder customization and the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) option.
